All of the above will help you play faster because you can think quicker, but at the end of the day, if you are slow at moving the pieces, you will struggle. You should be able to win them all very quickly. K + Q vs K, K + R vs K, and K + 2R vs K are some of the most common endgames you will see. If you have a K + P vs K endgame and you are able to queen your pawn, you should be able to checkmate in 2-3 seconds total using mostly premoves. Learn some quick to play opening systems. are you spending too much time on every move? On moves involving tactics? Are you getting ahead on material but then not converting? You mention that you end up with 0 seconds and your opponent 30 seconds but you can go into more detail with this (as one does if one is trying to improve in other time controls). Especially if you are paying attention to how you are losing, and trying to correct that. if 10 seconds nets you material, it is worth 10 seconds (or more).Īside from this, playing lots of bullet will probably make you better at bullet. You won't always be able to just move instantly, but you should aim to do this as often as possible. The more you can do this, the quicker you can be.
