Old coins and swampweed can be traded to certain NPC's for experience, so save on to those. Again, save these until they're more valuable. Apples (STR) and dark mushrooms (mana) are the only common consumables that increase attributes, and there are some one-offs from quests. Also, if you put them off too long you might be weaker than needed for the next chapter when you get there.Ħ) Some items for stats. Mana: Not sure, I think like 40 points DEX.Įither way, you will want to wait until you join your guild and have mana above 120.ĥ) Many quests give higher exp if solved in later chapters, but the flipside is if you put these off too long they may disappear in the next chapter (they're not available forever). Guildless or Paladin: 10 points DEX, 10 points STR, 20 points mana Likewise, wait off on praying at Innos statues until your main attribute is > 120.Ĥ) Speaking of Statues of Innos, guild breakdowns are as follows: Other max upgrades you can use whenever, since you won't be specializing in anything else. Because of that, it is recommended that you save your max mana upgrades until your attribute cost is at 5, because they will be 'worth' more by that point. If you choose mana, levels 1-30 costs 1 LP per stat increase, levels 31-60 cost 2 LP per stat, increase, etc. Mages apparently don't need much money at all, and all the STR swords you find will raise a lot of cash.ģ) The cost of attribute points scales as you progress. A lot of the other ones (all hunting trophies, lots of potions you don't need, etc.) are not as useful and will waste precious learning points. Maybe raise your STR to 30, while they're cheap (more on that later).Ģ) For secondary skills, I recommend lockpicking, pickpocketing, potions (just standard health and mana, and max mana potions), and reading skill tablets. Save up the rest of your learning points for magic. That way you can use the Master Sword (Dex sword with 60 Dex requirement but 120 damange) and a fairly good bow.
